About Code Camp and Media Meetup
Welcome to Code Camp and Media Meetup, 6-8 June, 2025, where we work together with software development and media/communication. Meet like minded people and contribute to the movement!
We’re divided into two groups: Code Camp and Media Meetup. When we’re not working, there’s plenty of time for enjoying meals, political discussions, barbeques, sauna or nature walks together.
Code Camp
Code Camp is for programmers, data analysts and designers that want to develop Zetkin.
Zetkin is a web based app used by political organizers in left wing and progressive organizations in Europe and the US. The Zetkin frontend is React with Next.JS written in Typescript. Our backend is mainly Python, but we’re switching to writing new things in Typescript.
If you feel “too new” or “too backend” to jump in, don’t worry - there’s always a way to get involved! We figure it out together as we go.
Media Meetup
Media Meetup is for communicators and media specialists.
We work both practically and strategically with Zetkin Foundation’s external communication. We produce image, video, and writing for social media, website and newsletter.
We welcome all types of media and communications specialists – anything from photographers, videographers, journalists and writers to art directors and strategic specialists. No matter experience level, there are different tasks you can do.
